Czechs studio Mjölk architekti has teamed up with DDAANN architects to design this tiny guest apartment in Prague. Conceived with the aim to host guests that are visiting from far and for long periods of time, the apartment features everything is needed to stay in touch without ever get the feeling of being a nuisance. A separate kitchen with a bar-dining table, also allows guest to prepare dishes, giving them the opportunity to become the hosts for a moment. The large bed is not just for sleeping, but also provides a seat and storage for linen.
In the entrance, which is connected to the bathroom and to a storage room, a wardrobe rises up. The owner, having a passion for cycling, has reserved space in the middle of the apartment for his beloved road bike. He also starts his cycling trips here whenever the guest house is not occupied. For sure there are some spare bikes in a storage room; this in the case that someone of the guests could fall in love with cycling passing through the corridor. For this reason the bathroom has a shower instead of tub, which better serves guests and athletes.
