Garden Modules by Luisa + Lilian Parrado

Bruna Hosti

Architects and sisters, Luisa + Lilian Parrado have designed a geometric wall module to hold potted plants on top of concrete shelves. According to the designers, the goal of this project was to create an elegant, flexible and viable option for green panels. Each module has an irregular shape that creates a slightly connexion to each other, allowing all kinds of compositions and filling with green any empty wall.

The structure is made of steel tubes that are not welded, but connected with a polypropylene string, which makes the structure flexible and gives advantage on packaging and storage. Two triangular concrete bases per module support the plants, naturally fitting the frame with no need of screws or other interference on the peaces, reinforcing one of the main characteristics of the sisters design.
