Vibrant Gradients Evoke Athletic Motion Inside Uchronia’s Padel 15 Club

Uchronia Padel 15 indoor court bar design in Paris, featuring a chromatic tiled counter with a green-to-orange gradient and vibrant burnt orange walls.

The city of Paris has gained a striking new destination for one of the world’s fastest-growing sports with the unveiling of Padel 15, the first indoor padel court in Paris. Conceived by the multidisciplinary studio Uchronia, the project transcends the purely functional mandates of a sports venue, delivering a bold space characterized by chromatic immersion and expressive interior design. The studio’s intervention transforms a utilitarian shell into an environment of graphic expression, leveraging colour gradients and texture to evoke the energy and motion inherent to the game.

The walls’ gradient, shifting from beige to burnt orange, wraps the space in a warm, dynamic atmosphere, contrasting with the mint-green tables and stools.

The design concept establishes a sense of kinetic flow from the moment a player enters the space. The perimeter walls are finished with a gradient that gently transitions from a muted beige base into a vibrant, enveloping burnt orange tone, creating a warm, dynamic atmosphere. This fluidity is mirrored on the floor, where a bold cartography of greens, yellows, and oranges traces a non-linear pattern. The composition is a direct, formal echo of the trajectory of a padel ball, cleverly guiding both visual perception and physical movement throughout the Paris sport facility.

A playful cartography of greens, yellows, and oranges on the floor recalls the trajectory and energy of a padel rally on the court.

At the centre of the programme, the studio has anchored the circulation with a prominent, rounded counter that functions as a sculptural nexus. Defined as a true chromatic sculpture, this core element features a tiled façade by Palet that presents a striking vertical gradient, shifting from an intense deep green to the vivid orange seen elsewhere. This application of colour and material creates the project’s clear visual signature, establishing the counter not just as a service point but as the focal gathering heart of the community space within the broader Paris architecture.

The rounded counter rises as a “chromatic sculpture” with a tiled façade showcasing a vertical gradient from deep green to vivid orange.

The spatial experience is refined through an intentional manipulation of light and verticality. Above the central counter, a significant circular aperture is cut into the ceiling plane, a decisive architectural design gesture. This move amplifies the overhead light and extends the visual axis upwards, dramatically enhancing the bar’s presence and theatrical quality. The interplay between the coloured surfaces and the natural light filtering through this opening demonstrates Uchronia’s commitment to sophisticated material and volumetric orchestration.

Uchronia designed bespoke furniture—including perforated orange stools and graphic cushions—to act as rhythmic accents in the communal space.

The attention to detail extends into the rest areas, furnished with pieces from the Uchronia studio. The integrated bespoke furniture is designed to encourage relaxation for players post-match and provide comfortable viewing for supporters. The collection includes perforated orange stools, expansive banquettes, and graphic cushions. These elements, alongside bold-coloured tables and a mint-green seating zone, weave together a cohesive spatial composition.

A large circular opening in the ceiling enhances the bar’s theatrical presence and amplifies perspective above the central gathering point.

Every element—from the high-impact gradients to the material application on the counter—has been engineered to contribute to the venue’s overall identity. The result is a vibrant, high-energy environment that successfully blurs the lines between architecture and design and athletic function. The Uchronia Padel 15 project sets a precedent, defining the next generation of indoor padel court design as a joyful and accessible celebration of sport.
