Renowned architect and designer Patricia Urquiola has woven her signature contemporary design aesthetic into the fabric of this iconic Capri hotel, creating spaces that are both a homage to the island’s heritage and a vision of modern Mediterranean living.
The five new suites, collectively christened Mariorita, are a meditative study in contrast and harmony. Pieces like the Erasmo plant pots, made from a sustainable cement-based mix, and Flos’s entirely recyclable Almendra lighting system, sit alongside Andreu World’s Bolete armchairs, notable for being entirely compostable and biodegradable. Other exquisite materials enrich the spaces, including delicate Venetian glass, clear glass elements, and intricately embroidered tapestry, each contributing to the suites’ unique character and sense of place.
