The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival continues its tradition of showcasing groundbreaking art, and the 2025 edition kicked off with a stunning installation that left a lasting impression during its first weekend: “Le Grand Bouquet” by Uchronia. This monumental work transformed the festival grounds into a vibrant floral oasis, celebrating the beauty of the desert’s springtime blooms.

Uchronia, known for their immersive environments, delivered their largest outdoor installation to date. “Le Grand Bouquet” pays homage to the wildflower super blooms of Palm Springs, translating this natural spectacle into an architectural and sculptural form that resonated with the festival’s celebratory spirit.

The installation’s centerpiece is a striking 10-meter (32-foot) bouquet of oversized inflatable flowers. This central element served as a prominent landmark and a focal point for festival-goers. Radiating outwards from this central bouquet were six satellite bouquets, creating a constellation of floral sculptures across the festival grounds.

Crafted from vibrant, stretchy vinyl, each flower featured a simple six-petal form, a deliberate design choice that evoked a sense of universality and childhood nostalgia. As day transitioned into night, “Le Grand Bouquet” underwent a magical transformation, with the flowers softly glowing to create a dreamlike forest of light.

Beyond its visual splendor, “Le Grand Bouquet” offered a space for respite and social interaction. Festivalgoers were invited to relax on petal-shaped bean bags beneath the main bouquet, providing a shaded environment for connection and contemplation. Its strategic placement in front of the main stage solidified its role as a central gathering point, a beacon of orientation, joy, and collective experience.

“Le Grand Bouquet” proved to be more than just a visual spectacle; it was an offering of space and beauty. Uchronia’s creation invited visitors to slow down, connect with each other, and experience a sense of wonder amidst the festival’s energy.
