Bao Bao Issey Miyake and N&R Foldings have teamed up to create this futuristic bag inspired by origami called ‘Distortion’. The bag is realized using the new method of sequence pieces transformed into a three-dimensional structure.
Distortion bags will be on display at ISSEY MIYAKE shops in Shibuya PARCO and Hankyu Umeda Main Store from June 21 (Thursday) and at the Fukuoka Iwataya shop from June 25 (Wednesday). As the number of products is limited, please visit these shops as soon as possible.
N&R Foldings is a London/Tokyo based Design studio founded by Rodrigo Solorzano and Naoki Kawamoto. With a particular interest in digital generation and digital fabrication N&R’ s work draws inspiration from Origami and its functional capabilities.
