Premium tech accessories brand Native Union has teamed up with French acoustics specialist La Boite concept to launch PR / 01, a state-of-the-art speaker for the home.
Combining the highest quality materials with advanced connectivity and unmatched acoustics, PR / 01 delivers high power, high fidelity sound in a compact and minimal form. With multiple options for audio-in, PR / 01 is compatible with the existing and future technology.

“We wanted to make a speaker that would stand the test of time. Combining La Boite concept’s expertise in audio technology with NATIVE UNION’s passion for innovative user-friendly design, we have created a multifunctional speaker with a superior sound that also charges your everyday tech,” says Igor Duc, co-founder and CEO at Native Union.
Led by the R&D teams at La Boite concept, the technology behind PR / 01 is a reinvention of a patent from the 1970’s. Initially developed by the Cagniard family, the original patent, Active Pression Reflex, has been adapted to support new digital technologies. PR/01 is an active speaker, which follows the acoustic properties of traditional high fidelity. The exceptional quality of the lowest frequencies is ensured by the implementation of 2 loudspeakers (including one internal woofer), which are controlled numerically, in an airtight chamber. This pressure chamber system is calibrated by multiple digital amplifiers. These custom-built amplifiers offer exceptional power and definition in the extreme bass, all contained within a very compact structure.

PR / 01 features a wooden frame with brass toned solid aluminum controls and a hardwearing textile grille. The modular design includes a concealed drawer that hides traditional audio inputs as well as additional USB ports for simultaneous device charging. A dedicated recess designed for Native Union Drop Wireless Charger also makes it possible to wirelessly charge any Qi enabled mobile device on top of the speaker.
