Fontaine/Fortin/Labelle Created an Unusual Passage in Québec City

Fontaine/Fortin/Labelle

As part of Les Passages Insolites (The Unusual Passages), a public art festival presented from July 2 to November 2, 2015, in Québec City, Canada, creatives Francis Fontaine, Luca Fortin and Pascal Labelle have created the “Petite Vie”, a mirrored site-specific installation that plays with the surrounding reflections of the neighborhood. The passage between the openings is a reminder of the relationship between the inside and the outside. The edge of the wall is a space of its own, a passage that recalls the thickness of the walls around. The mirrored surfaces of the installation reflect the visitors which walk inside creating an unusual space between two walls.
