Tailored for a family of four, this two-story residence focuses on well-being, functionality, and a strong connection to the natural environment, resulting in a serene and spacious atmosphere despite its compact footprint.
The owners’ vision was clear: a home without restrictive corridors, flooded with sunlight, and surrounded by greenery. They desired a dwelling that not only met their practical needs and energy efficiency standards but also exuded a distinctive and motivating charm.
The design of Lang House by Austin Maynard Architects showcases a striking contrast. The presence of large windows and openings on three sides allows natural light to flood the interior, while a strategically positioned void adds a sense of spaciousness.
