Baccialieri Resort

Nestled within a centuries-old olive grove in Sicily’s storied Val di Noto, Braccialieri Resort emerges as a paradigm of Mediterranean luxury reimagined. Braccialieri Resort’s restored heritage structures emerge like sculpted forms within a centuries-old olive grove in Sicily’s Val di Noto, blending Sicilian tradition with contemporary design.

The restoration of the estate, a meticulous two-year endeavor, preserved the site’s agricultural soul while injecting vibrant modernity. Spearheaded by Palermo-born designer Alessandro Enriquez—celebrated for his eclectic, storytelling approach—the resort harmonizes Sicilian tradition with global design prowess. Enriquez curated pieces from icons like Cassina, Cappellini, Vispring, Casa Lago, and Tom Dixon, united by a fearless embrace of color. The result is a tactile journey through texture and hue, where every corner whispers of the Mediterranean’s vivid spirit.

Accommodations comprise six standalone Eco Villas—Domus Salvia, Rubinia, Flamma, Aurea, Solis, and Viridis—and three Luxury Suites named Amare, Tangerine, and Geranium. The villas, embedded in the landscape, champion sustainable design with private verandas framing panoramic views of rolling hills and citrus orchards. Suites, meanwhile, balance baroque influences with contemporary minimalism. At night, atmospheric lighting by maestro Davide Groppi sculpts spaces into sanctuaries of calm.

Social hubs pulse with curated charm. The Braccialieri Cafè, housed in a wrought-iron greenhouse crowned by bougainvillea, features Enriquez’s retro “Enriquezland” wallpaper—a collaboration with Jannelli&Volpi—depicting vintage Sicilian pasticcerie. Opposite, the restored 1863 palmento (wine press), Dodici Zappe, anchors culinary experiences. Here, thick stone walls and an original millstone dialogue with solid wood tables and Cappellini chairs in a custom “Sicilian green.” Executive Chef Marco Biuso honors circular economy principles, crafting dishes from hyper-local ingredients sourced from Braccialieri’s organic garden, Orto Pizzuta, and nearby artisanal producers.

The panoramic pool area epitomizes Enriquez’s narrative flair: a red-and-white checkerboard floor nods to traditional Sicilian kitchens, while his signature “Don’t forget to love!” lettering dances along the edge. Vibrant umbrellas and sun loungers, adorned with his geranium prints, transform the space into a sun-drenched oasis.
