The pandemic slowed down travel drastically, but traveling is slowly making its way back to normal. And while we all were at home quarantining, Virgin Hotel Las Vegas took this time to renovate and develop a new concept for design.
In late March the hotel opened back up to the public with a new appeal and upgrade, thanks to the partnerships with other designers and constructors. The Rockwell Group and Taylor International Corporation are among those partnerships.
The natural and synthetic outdoor landscape has been received well by the early visitors so far and many think this will be a summer hotspot for Las Vegas tourists.
Visiting the Hotel
You’ll notice a modern desert landscape with a contemporary design. The rooms have been redesigned into chambers and suites with over 1500 of them to accommodate guests. They have been redesigned to include vanities and privacy doors, all while being renovated to offer more space to guests. There is a patented design on the bed and in-room technology offering a unique experience. Three buildings make up all the suites and chambers known as the Opal, Canyon, and Ruby.
Rooms vary from a king bed suite to chambers up to 1500 square feet. The poolside area is large with a desert oasis theme. The hotel’s innovative redesign was to categorize the location as a lifestyle resort. Visitors can further personalize their stay within the chambers with a membership program they offer called The Know which can lead to rewards such as room upgrades and much more.
Parking is abundant with multiple garages on the property. There are garages for guests next to all three buildings where the chambers and suites are located. Other areas have parking available as well.
The hotel has state-of-the-art technology throughout the property from the rooms to the common areas. Even though the hotel has a modern desert landscape, areas within the hotel such as the lounge areas vary in decorative design.
Amenities
The property has a theater that can hold 4500 people that has been redesigned also. The bars have been updated and new suites or VIP areas are available. Over 13,000 square feet of outside space for bigger events that are outdoors.
Restaurants are diverse and plentiful at the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas. Popular restaurants such as Nobu are there and food from cultures all around the world. The poolside will be a common area of the resort which opens up in May according to the hotel’s website.
A hotspot at this hotel would be the tribal casino stretching over 60,000 square feet known as the Mohegan Sun Casino. It has the matching modern desert style of the hotel overall. The casino replaced the Hard Rock casino that was there before and has been renovated with vibrant designs and a more open layout. Just walking into the casino you’ll see large chandeliers and contemporary ceiling fixtures.
Meetings and events can be booked here upon request with over 130,000 square feet to do so. There are various halls and boardrooms on-site to accompany other visitors you invite to the updated hotel. The halls offered for booking events can also be split into sections based on event needs.
