The Le Bon Marché department store in Paris is currently hosting the Mise en Page exhibition, which showcases the works of French artist Jean Jullien. Curated by Sarah Andelman, the exhibition explores the theme of books and libraries. Two impressive sculptures by Jullien, known as the Paper People, are the centerpiece of the exhibition.

One sculpture depicts a person engrossed in a book, while the other extends its arms towards the balconies of the building. These playful and vibrant illustrations can also be found in the café within the department store, creating an immersive experience for visitors. The exhibition is a collaboration between Phamily First agency and the Korean brand NouNou.

Sarah Andelman has invited Jean Jullien to transform Le Bon Marché for the Mise en Page exhibition. Jullien’s Paper People sculptures have traveled from Tokyo to Seoul, Brussels, and various locations in France before arriving in Paris. These sculptures symbolize the celebration of books and bring a sense of imagination to the exhibition.

The store windows and interiors are brought to life with grand, thought-provoking, and playful creations. Additionally, Jullien’s 2D illustrations can be found on the second floor, specifically in the dedicated space for the NouNou brand and the café-grocery store developed with Phamily First.

Each part of the exhibition offers a unique narrative. The ground floor showcases renowned bookstores from around the world, displaying their branded merchandise. Collaborations with publishers and book enthusiasts further enhance the experience.

On the second floor, Sarah Andelman presents a section called Just an Idea Books and Friends, featuring five new books alongside the 17 previously published in her collection since 2021. This section provides visitors with an opportunity to explore a curated selection of books and discover new literary works.
