Lenny Kravitz‘s design studio in collaboration with Les Artisans de Genève introduces the limited edition LK 01 Rolex watch. Lenny Kravitz has been collecting watches for more than 20 years. As a true collector, he always wanted to be able to create his own watch. Les Artisans de Genève is an independent watchmaking maison based in Geneva, creating handmade limited edition time- pieces by modifying current models from renowned brands.
Combining modernism with reliability, while preserving the features of classic watches, the LK 01 model is based on the Rolex 116523 reference, which has been modified by hand in Les Artisans de Genève’s workshops in Switzerland.
The case has been treated in black DLC. The bezel has been replaced by a handmade golden bakelite one. The dial, also modified by hand, shows gold markings and timers. The bracelet has been replaced by a handmade Barenia veal leather strap.
The movement is wholly treated in black and holds a 22-carat gold rotor which can be glimpsed through a transparent 100m water- proof back. Both, the case as well as the rotor are the signatures of Les Artisans de Genève.
The team has also turned the case into a unique piece: the watch sits in a leather case which reminds of a roadie trunk and is equipped with a Bluetooth JBL speaker.
Limited to 55 pieces worldwide, the LK 01 Rolex is is available now directly from Les Artisans de Genève for $41,855 USD.
