10 years after designing La Terraza del Casino, a two Michelin stars restaurant located in the penthouse of NH Collection Casino de Madrid, Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon has updated the space with a bold new perspective.
The restaurant’s organic elements draw from Hayon’s artistic touch, surprising diners at different turns. Dressed for the occasion with deep blues and soft greens, and punctuated by elegant golden accessories, La Terraza del Casino simply shines with a new spirit.
“La Terraza del Casino has always been a platform for experimenting, a temple to cuisine, but also a place where interior design becomes an art where color flows and the furniture tells stories, details that describe dreams,” says Hayón.
Converted into a stage where imagination can be perceived by the five senses, the restaurant surprises with its new gastronomic experience. Both traditional and Roncero’s Spanish avant-garde cuisine, as well as the best international cuisine, are present on the menu of La Terraza del Casino.
Major influences from all gastronomic cultures that come together to give dishes like American-style prawns, Curry Pilpil Kokotxa and John Dory à la Royale with Mole. Creations that represent the fusion of great classics of international cuisines, where the excellent raw material gets all the attention producing a unique experience for the palate.
As well as sharing a great friendship and the same passion for creating, chef Paco Roncero and designer Jaime Hayon have something else in common: both have been part of the creation process of the La Terraza del Casino restaurant.
Specifically, Jaime has been responsible for giving the restaurant a new lease of life, turning it into a warm space where creativity and imagination are given free rein. The space surprises us with gentle lines, the rounded and fun shapes that are so typical of Hayon’s world. All this in blue and green aquamarine tones, against which golden decorative elements stand out.
