The building’s tall, vertically oriented silhouette mirrors the majestic trees that grace the nearby hills. Its exterior is predominantly wrapped in grey diamond-shaped tiles, lending it a unified and sculptural quality. A section of the south facade is thoughtfully recessed to create a welcoming entrance and additional windows that face inward, enhancing natural light while respecting zoning guidelines.

Reigo & Bauer’s hallmark design philosophy revolves around the clever manipulation of simple shapes to yield surprising outcomes. This is particularly evident in the roof, which showcases triangular facets that connect the varying pitch peaks in a dynamic manner. The use of white concrete boards on the south side adds another layer of visual intrigue to the structure.

Narrow, staggered windows on both the front and rear facades flood the interiors with light while ensuring privacy. In the dining area, these windows rise above the ceiling line, imparting a sense of height. The living room boasts a uniquely curved and angled ceiling that accommodates elongated windows, drawing the gaze upward toward the lush hillside behind the home. These thoughtful design features create an illusion of spaciousness without compromising comfort.

The interior design revolves around a central core that houses a powder room, pantry, and storage area. This core effectively divides and organizes the adjacent spaces, allowing them to flow seamlessly into one another. Nestled between the dining and living areas, the kitchen boasts a sleek, minimalist design characterized by white cabinetry and surfaces. A soft green wall acts as a barrier between the kitchen and the staircases, while rounded cutouts create visual links between the upper and lower levels.

Vibrant accents enliven the interior, including a soft dusty pink wall in the living room and a warm terracotta hue in the primary suite’s bathroom. These colorful elements beautifully contrast with the predominantly white walls and light oak flooring, providing a neutral canvas for the clients to infuse their personal style. Delicate touches, like the consistent use of spherical light fixtures both indoors and outdoors, contribute to a cohesive aesthetic throughout the entire space.

The bedrooms feature distinctive sloped, angular ceilings that rise within the tapering roofline. The master bedroom is positioned at the front, overlooking the street, while the two smaller children’s rooms are also located at the front. One child’s room is nestled right beneath the main slope, boasting two stacked windows that invite natural light. The other room has a single window facing the rear and another window created by a vertical cut-out on the south side of the structure.
