Škoda Auto has pulled back the curtain on the Vision O concept, a bold proclamation of the brand’s electrified future and the next evolution of its Modern Solid design language. More than just a show car, the Vision O represents a fundamental shift in philosophy, being the first Škoda developed from the inside out, where the passenger experience dictated every curve and feature before the exterior shape was even finalized. This estate concept is designed not just to transport people, but to provide a serene, intuitive, and holistic sanctuary on the move.

The Škoda Vision O presents a robust, aerodynamic profile, defined by its revolutionary illuminated Tech-loop face mask and sharp Cyber Lights.

Stepping inside the Vision O reveals a cabin that is a masterclass in minimalist and purposeful design. The centrepiece is the breathtaking Škoda Horizon Display, a screen stretching over 1.2 metres across the entire dashboard, placing essential information directly in the line of sight for both front passengers. This is complemented by a new Bio-Adaptive Lighting system that subtly adjusts the cabin’s ambient hues to align with natural daylight cycles, supporting passenger well-being. The aesthetic is achromatic and calming, creating a canvas where technology and comfort seamlessly merge.

At the heart of the in-car experience is Laura, an AI-powered personal assistant. Far from a simple voice command tool, Laura is designed as a true digital companion. It proactively offers route suggestions, can take meeting notes, discuss surroundings, or even generate stories for passengers, deeply integrating with the vehicle’s functions. This intelligent core extends beyond the car through the Vision O app, envisioning a future mobile ecosystem where your digital assistant manages your schedule and even preps the car’s loading space for your next errand.

Clean, solid lines characterize the silhouette, optimized for aerodynamics with recessed door handles and a distinctive B-pillar featuring the Škoda hook symbol.

A profound commitment to sustainability and the circular economy is woven into the very fabric of the Vision O. The name itself is derived from “circularity,” underscoring an ambition to minimize environmental impact throughout the vehicle’s entire lifecycle. The interior features a mono-material approach to simplify recycling, with seats upholstered in 100% recycled polyester. Innovative materials include Ultrasuede NU with 65% plant-based content and NABORE flooring made from upcycled leather production waste, proving that eco-conscious materials can achieve a high-end, aesthetic appeal.

Butterfly doors open dramatically to reveal the concept’s minimalist, sanctuary-like interior, a direct result of its inside-out design philosophy.

The exterior continues the theme of purposeful simplicity. The design is aerodynamically honed with active shutters, hood ventilation, and retractable door handles to maximize efficiency and extend range. The face of the Vision O is defined by a completely new Tech-loop face mask, a illuminated band that wraps around the front, complemented by sharp Škoda Cyber Lights. This creates a robust, instantly recognizable identity that is both modern and authentically Škoda, while T-shaped rear lights provide a distinctive signature at the back.

Inside the cabin, the expansive Škoda Horizon Display stretches across the dashboard, creating a serene, tech-forward and driver-centric environment.

Advanced autonomous driving technology is a key pillar of the concept, capable of handling all driving tasks under specific conditions. This aligns with the focus on passenger comfort, exemplified by a versatile Tranquil mode. With a simple command, the seats reconfigure for extra space, the lighting softens, and screen content is minimized, transforming the cabin into a personal lounge for relaxation, all while the car navigates the journey.

Building on Škoda’s legacy as the leader of the European estate segment since 2016, the Vision O concept signals a confident leap into the next decade. It takes the practical, user-centric DNA of icons like the Octavia and Superb Combi and reinterprets it for an electric, connected age. The production version, expected in the next decade, promises to blend this groundbreaking holistic design with the practicality that has defined Škoda for generations, marking a significant step in the brand’s journey.
