SoundCloud Headquarters by Kinzo Berlin

Architectural firm Kinzo Berlin recently completed the SoundCloud’s new headquarters that rises close to the former Berlin Wall. The three-story, 4,000 sqm repurposed brewery has become the new office for all 180 German employees of the internationally renowned online music platform. Looking for a space that could match SoundCloud’s novel identity, Kinzo developed an office that exudes and encourages innovation and creativity, whilst maintaining the former factory’s original charm. Points of interest included athletic locker-styled personal workspaces, a cafe that doubles as a reception area, cozy living room-inspire meeting rooms and more.

In order to preserve the location’s factory feel, Kinzo decided to retain the brewery’s raw appeal, leaving the building’s original brickwork and ceiling details exposed. Underscoring this aesthetic, all technical installations are clearly on display, snaking across the naked surfaces in an ornamental- meets-functional pattern that juxtaposes old and new.
