Urwerk TimeHunter X-Ray

Urwerk

Swiss watchmaker Urwerk presents the TimeHunter X-Ray, a limited edition of 15 watches that delivers a conceptual and stylistic knockout. The TimeHunter X-Ray comes across as a timepiece that is easy to read with a central dial for black hours and minutes hands coated with white SuperLuminova for enhanced contrast. A rotating disc showing the seconds at 1 o’clock is balanced at 7 o’clock by a power-reserve indicator. On the back of the watch the movement can be seen through the sapphire crystal. Also on the back is the rate-adjustment screw, one of the nerve centres of this watch.

Featuring the same conceptual movement of the EMC TimeHunter — a mechanical movement paired with a crank-powered electronic module — that originally debuted back in 2013, the new take on the EMC once again allows wearers to geek out with on-demand balance rate and amplitude measurements and, in this case, couples a 43mm x 51mm x 15.8mm black PVD-finished case.

Like the last EMC Time Hunter, the new X-Ray comes in a limited edition and will be purchased for approximately $129,000 USD.
