Van Gogh-Roosegaarde Bicycle Path by Daan Roosegaarde

Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde has opened the Van Gogh-Roosegaarde Bicycle Path in Nuenen, The Netherlands. The bicycle path is illuminated with spacial paint that uses energy gathered during the day to glow after dark. After dark visitors will be amazed by a design of light and colour, inspired by the world-famous painting ‘The Starry Night’ by Vincent van Gogh.

The cycle path forms part of the Van Gogh cycle route that connects the Vincent van Gogh heritage locations in Brabant, Vincent’s Homeland. The world-famous artists produced his first masterpiece, The Potato Eaters in Nuenen, and the Opwettense and Colse watermills featured in his paintings.
