As announced in December of last year, Evian has been working closely with their Creative Advisor for Sustainable Innovation Design, Virgil Abloh to explore new ways for consumers to hydrate. The limited-edition Soma bottle is a refillable glass water bottle which has been designed by Virgil Abloh dropping at New York and London Fashion Weeks period of which Evian is the leading water partner.
Made in collaboration with beverage brand SOMA, the limited-edition 17oz. water bottle is made of glass, with a bamboo lid. A white, protective silicone sleeve features Evian branding printed in gray, and ‘Rainbow Inside’ written vertically within Abloh’s signature quotation marks.
Evian steps toward its goal of becoming a 100 percent circular brand by 2025: By this date, the company aims for all its water bottles to be made out of recycled plastic. There are no more details on the price for this limited-edition version yet but what we do know, is that the bottle will be available in four colorways: pink, purple, light blue, and dark blue. The limited edition will be available exclusively at matchesfashion.com as of February 25th.
It’s not the designer’s first non-fashion-related collaboration: in 2018 alone, Abloh teamed up with IKEA, and luxury travel brand Rimowa.
