In an effort to compete with Apple’s MacBook Air, HP has unveiled a premium ‘Spectre’ laptop that’s just 10.4 millimeters thin. Designed with the mobile professional in mind this new laptop combines exceptional engineering and craftsmanship with beauty and performance. At 0.4 inches, the Spectre is thinner than AAA batteries and both thinner and lighter than Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air.
The laptop’s 13.3-inch 1080p display, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage are impressive for a device thats about as thin as a AAA battery, while speakers by Bang & Olufsen coupled with HP Audio Boost technology give users a unique sound experience from a device of its size. A carbon fiber bottom and dark grey aluminum body keep the Spectre 13 both durable and lightweight (2.45 lbs), and elegant copper accents provide a jewelry-like finish.
Pre-orders begin April 25 for $1,170 USD, before a wider release is expected on May 22 starting at a base price of $1,250 USD.
