Jestico + Whiles

As part of the ninth annual Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW), Jestico + Whiles has created an interactive installation using Porecelanosa’s next-generation material, Krion. The installation is a study of aperture and light.

An immersive sculpture experimenting with light, form, and perspective, it is comprised of 64 fins of Krion which are dynamically lit, creating a unique visual experience.

Influenced by the rich history of Clerkenwell, Jestico + Whiles’s installation is a sculptural homage to George Eastman’s Kodak factory which was situated in Clerkenwell in the late 19th century. The installation is made out of Krion, a new generation solid surface material that is warm to the touch and similar to natural stone. It is made of two-thirds natural minerals (ATH – aluminium trihydrate) and a low percentage of high-resistance resins.

It is Jestico + Whiles first time to participate in CDW since they moved into their new offices in Clerkenwell last year.
