In the historical district of Aix-en-Provence, in the center of an ancient Benedictine clositer, Saint Tropez-based architect Vincent Coste has designed “La Fromagerie du passage“. This “concept store” marries the world of wine and cheese. Sales areas and tasting will showcase the two “Meilleurs Ouvriers de France” in charge of refining and wine selection: a sustainable and informed consumption of these two products.
The ground floor retail space includes a cheese area that facing the exhibition and sale of wine area. The first floor mezzanine, offers two dining areas: a long counter directly above the double height ceiling and a long table d’hôte, which is divided according to the requirements of the service in the dining room. The counter, wide wooden balcony allows structuring the composition of the facade and interior reinforces the perception of this level from the street. The top floor has allowed the establishment of a terrace on the roofs of Aix-en-Provence.
