Inspired by a contemporary modernism, Maurizio Lai, founder of local practice Lai Studio, designed the interior of Taiyo Sushi Restaurant in Milan, Italy. The main environment consists of a large central hall and two secondary rooms, heavily embellished with light fittings and rich materials, where a lush variety of scenic elements marks the ambiance as a whole.
A third dining lounge is located downstairs, where a spectacular infinity mirror type of installation is leading the way. Design customization is pushed down to the smallest details and the space is filled with a unique charm, from the geometric design of the metal mesh that forms the ceiling, to the backlit wall coverings made of glass, metal or wood carving. The set of furniture elements is also made along an original design, as well as the lighting fixtures and the wall prints, with their large abstract decor.
