Polish architecture student Wojciech Jurkowski has envisioned what a futuristic pick-up truck might look like with his Renault Subtil concept. Visibly separated front wheels introduce an innovation in car body design which is possible due to the use of the electric drive. Thanks to four independent electric motors located inside each wheel, the interior space of the car has been increased and designed for passengers, and allow large objects to fit securely in the back.
The roof would automatically fold to adapt to the driver’s specific needs, changing the cars features and functionality using a smartphone. Versatile adaptations can turn the vehicle into a sports cruiser suited with an open roof and sliding seats accommodating up to two snowmobiles or a couple of bicycles. There are up to five versatile configurations.
The concept has been designed in response to the increasing demand for bigger, but more luxurious, vehicles, especially on the European market.
