Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka designed the interior of the new Issey Miyake Marunouchi store in Tokyo, Japan. Aluminum triangles, dyed in red, are displayed as if they float in the air. The design expresses two contrary times which are history and future by contrasting between a texture that has been created over a long period of time and the futuristic triangles. “The design expresses two contrary times, which are history and future, by contrasting between a texture that has been created over a long period of time and the futuristic triangles,” said Yoshioka.
Yoshioka designed the interior in a similar style to the Issey Miyake London Flagship Store unveiled last year.
