Nike celebrates Black History Month with a collection of products across basketball, football, running, soccer and skateboarding that honors six athletes and coaches who have positively impacted sport with their courage and determination, including Theotis Beasley, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Jerry Rice, Brianna Rollins, C. Vivian Stringer and John Thompson.
“Sport is an incredible platform to inspire and encourage positive social change,” said Michael Jackson, Vice President and General Manager of Global Basketball, Nike Brand. “Our 2015 Black History Month Collection honors and celebrates the athletes and leaders who have influenced global culture and have paved the way for our next generation.”
The limited edition 2015 BHM Collection includes 28 items, all featuring a black and white palette and mix of three different prints. The collection ranges from performance to lifestyle with 12 shoes and 16 apparel and accessory items for men and women. Footwear models include BHM versions of the LeBron 12, KD7, KOBE 9, Kyrie 1, Air Force 1 Duckboot, Air Max 1, Air Jordan XX9, Air Jordan 1, Air Force 1 Ultra Force, Mercurial Superfly and the Nike SB Dunk.
The Nike 2015 BHM Collection drops worldwide on January 17 on Nike.com and select retail locations.
