Valencia’s electronic music epicenter has been reignited. CLAP Studio has unveiled its transformative redesign of OVEN Club, a cornerstone of the city’s underground scene. Five years after their first intervention, the Valencia-based studio returned to reimagine this iconic space, reinforcing its identity as a premier cultural landmark for techno enthusiasts.

The redesign draws direct inspiration from the club’s fiery name—”oven.” CLAP Studio crafted a concept that translates thermal energy into an immersive atmosphere, where architecture becomes an extension of sound. The goal? To amplify the audience experience beyond auditory sensation into a full-body encounter.

Materiality drives the narrative. Stainless steel surfaces dominate, reflecting dynamic lighting to evoke rising heat and vibration. Contrasting this, Alpi wood panels in scorched reds and blacks emulate burning embers, injecting warmth and psychedelia into the industrial shell. Every texture echoes the club’s essence: transformation through intensity.

Spatial layout prioritizes ritual. The DJ booth anchors the space as a central axis, flanked by twin bars. Integrated into these bars, grids of LED lights mimic oven heating elements. Their colors shift dynamically, syncing with the music’s pulse to sculpt the night’s evolving energy.

The immersive environment deepens behind the DJ. A horizontal screen merges with angled mirrors and programmed lighting, creating kaleidoscopic visuals that engulf patrons. Light fractures across steel, dissolving boundaries between sound, structure, and crowd.

This is no cosmetic update. CLAP Studio fused visual narrative with function, ensuring OVEN doesn’t just host music—it amplifies it. The result is an intense collective experience: a crucible where design, sound, and human energy converge, redefining Valencia’s nocturnal landscape.
