Japanese studio Nendo has released the second watch in its Draftsman collection, a wristwatches series inspired by the drafting instruments draftsmen use to prepare precise plans and drawings. To recall its moniker, stencil, the second watch in the series has numbers laser-cut directly into the crystal rather than printed onto the face. “We thought this might inspire wearers to become aware of the time that they measure for themselves, instead of simply following time as measured by others” explain the designers.
