Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka has unveiled the Glass Watch, the 16th model and latest addition to the Issey Miyake watch project. The bold design dons a solid piece of transparent glass that gives the watch a sculptural feel.
Thanks to its unique design, the timepiece is effortlessly minimal and sophisticated with its sculptural profile comprised of a thick round 39mm glass casing resting on top of a stainless steel case. In addition, the dial flaunts the hour and minutes hands only to maintain its sleek aesthetic perfectly.
A leather band complements the polished glass and brushed stainless steel, adding a touch of texture to the design at the same time. The watch comes with a silver or black dial, with either black or brown leather straps.
The Glass Watch will be available starting November 10th, 2017, at ISSEY MIYAKE shops worldwide and online at Miyake’s online watch store. In related news, Yoshioka recently joined forces with French champagne brand Dom Pérignon on a crystal art piece, titled “Prism.”
